Tinneca Fortin Therapist

LM, LMT, CST
Somatic Practitioner

Welcome! My name is Tinneca and I am deeply grateful our paths have crossed. The past  two decades have unfolded as a pilgrimage, guiding me towards an awe inspiring understanding and reverence of the human body, mind, and spirit.

If you have been led here in search of healing, I understand the trepidation that may come along with this journey of self-discovery. I have been in your shoes, in the valleys of vulnerability and fear, and I honor the courage it takes to embark in this personal and transformative work.

For me, it all began in 2002, when the miracle of my first sons birth awakened within me a calling to go back to school and serve as a community midwife.

Over the 10 years in my private midwifery practice, I was witness to the strength, courage and beauty each woman held, but unexpectedly I was also witness to the silent struggles and deep wounds they carried, stemming from losses, birth trauma and past abuse.

Through these experiences and my own encounters with adversity my souls purpose emerged: to assist individuals of all ages in transcending their suffering and embracing the boundless beauty this life holds.

For the past 7 years my work has blossomed to fulfill this sacred calling. I have had the honor to accompany hundreds of people on their healing journeys, drawing wisdom from Mindfulness Meditation, Somatic Experiencing, Soma Structural Integration, CranioSacral Therapy, and Sensory Motor Art Therapy. I am also the co-creator of an outdoor school, Timber Creek Farm and Forest, whose purpose is to cultivate resilience, foster compassionate communication and   honor the young leaders of our future.

As a practitioner, I offer a unique approach characterized by deep intuition, nurturing and a sprinkle of lighthearted humor. Each session is a dance, an exchange of energies where trust is revered and cherished. I meet each individual exactly where they are on their path, providing gentle guidance towards the healing they seek.

Beyond my professional practice, my days are woven with threads of service  and joy. You may find me teaching at the nature school, hosting healing circles, taking classes, savoring the simple pleasures of nourishing food, performing live music with my husband and nurturing the dreams of our five grown children. In all that I do, I strive to embody love, grace, good humor and an eternal spirit of growth.

It would be my honor to support you.
