Meet Tinneca Fortin
Somatic Trauma Therapist & Bodyworker
My calling to support people through challenging life transitions emerged from a deeply personal journey that has been continually unfolding in my own life. Through my experiences with pain, joy, and resilience, I hold a profound reverence for the innate healing capacity of the mind, body and spirit.
This path initially began in the early years of my time as a community midwife. I not only witnessed the immense strength of my clients but also became aware of the emotional wounds of trauma they had been carrying for years. These experiences ignited my purpose: to assist people in overcoming physical pain and emotional limitations. This led me to specialize in somatic trauma therapy, bodywork and mindfulness.
My Approach & Expertise:
I integrate a diverse educational background to inform my practice. My analytical foundations in Midwifery, Psychology, Structural Integration, and Somatic Experiencing are complemented by certifications in Craniosacral Therapy, Ecotherapy, and Mindfulness practices. I draw upon all of these modalities to offer a holistic approach to healing.
Working Together:
I feel a deep sense of gratitude for being entrusted with supporting each person's expanded self-awareness and potential for deep physical and emotional healing. My approach is unique and characterized by deep intuition, nurturing, and a sprinkle of lighthearted humor. Each session is a dance, an exchange of energies where trust is revered and cherished. I meet each individual exactly where they are on their path, providing gentle guidance.
Beyond the Session:
Outside of my practice, my days are filled with service and joy. You can find me teaching at my nature school (Timber Creek Farm and Forest), sitting in healing circles, laughing with girlfriends, eating good food, performing music with my husband, and nurturing my large family. I strive to embody love, grace, and an eternal spirit of growth in all that I do.
It would be my privilege to support you. -Tinneca
